II. [Event: Horoscopes]
[Days 1-5]
[Being new in this place, it takes Sabo several hours browsing the journal to actually realize something weird is up. But since he doesn't really know anyone that much yet, and Ace and Luffy (although with more boobs) are more or less themselves, Sabo shrugs this off and spends his days in the forest, training by fighting wild animals trying to eat him or fishing by the river.]
[Day 6, Action]
[There is a rooster in Sabo's room today. It's nestled on his chest when he woke up so he and the chicken exchanged peaceful, post-sleep stares before Sabo's brain catches up to what's actually happening. This is followed by the sound of a young boy flailing and yelling, flapping wings and loud, indignant squawking. Several minutes and multiple scratches later, Sabo quickly flips his journal open to find a strange message: Adopt a chicken. ...Okay, he doesn't know what to make of that.]
Uh, hey! Is anyone missing a pet? Er... A chicken? I--no, it's a rooster, actually. He might've wandered in my room and---Hey, stop that! [Said rooster now nudges its way into the screen, and just when it looks like it's going to crow like a normal rooster, it coos. Sabo manages to wrench the journal away.] So yeah, if this guy's yours, give me a call! I'll bring him back. [After that, Sabo goes outside to explore. And tagging persistently after him is a rooster.]
[Day 7, Action]
You have something in your teeth.
[Something's different about Sabo today, and those who know what he normally looks like would notice it at once. Perfect set of teeth. And this will last all week.]
[Day 8, Action]
You have a gay sibling. Shhh.
[Ace, Luffy... If you run into your little bro around, he'll be walking right up to you, give you a hug, and very solemnly say:] No matter what your choices in life are, you have my full support!
[Marco... he's going to be a little more weird to you. He'll actually bow his head while shaking your hand.] You're helping Ace all the time, right? Thank you very much for that. I guess he might get a bit shy for that kind of thing.
[Note: gay = okama in this kid's head. It explains Luffy's boobs, okay?]
[Day 9-10, Action]
[You will become illiterate as soon as you finish this sentence.
And sure enough, the once readable text is now a bunch of undecipherable squiggles. For someone who dreams of writing a book, this is one very horrible, horrible thing to happen. This day is going to be spent in frantic search of books, of any reading materials actually, and he'll end up making a bit of a mess in the library.]
[All throughout the week, the adopted rooster eventually named "Keloggs" after one particular cereal brand he saw in the food shop will be sticking by his side. Feel free to run into him everywhere!]

DAY 8 -- I AM SO SORRY I AM LATE BECAUSE THIS POST IS AWESOME
Oh my god, the four of us are going to be an endless circle of this forever, aren't we? Okay, I'm glad you looked after him as a kid, he's glad I looked after Luffy later, Luffy's glad I looked after Ace in the middle -- it's a big circle of everyone being glad, aye?
[Unfortunately he just thinks Sabo is following... a different horoscope.]
How's the rooster?
DAY 8 -- I SEE NO LATE HERE
So you look after Luffy for that kind of stuff too? Then, I'm really in your debt. I bet it's not very easy dealing with the two of them like that. [Yeaaah, this might be the most confusing misunderstanding yet.]
[At that moment, Keloggs the rooster manages to make his way up to the boy's head and perch there. It raises a wing and coos a greeting to Marco. Sabo doesn't seem to find this non-rooster-y beavior weird.] He's doing good. I named him Keloggs.
DAY 8 -- YAY
[And he chirps back to Keloggs, asking the rooster how he likes the new name and home. It is totally normal to talk to birds shhh.]
Yeah? He likes that? [Reaches out a hand to pet the rooster gently if it'll allow it.
DAY 8 -- WHEEE~ <333
[Keloggs answers to the affirmative! Although he also expresses some concern about the misadventures of his new owner when he's by himself. Deliberately looking for tigers and crocodiles to fight with, for one.]
I'm not really sure. He kinda ran off when we met a wolf in the woods. [Sabo looks hopefully at Marco.] Can you ask him?
DAY 8 -- \o/
[Nods in response to the asking Keloggs questions. He's already carrying on two conversations here, might as well make sure the second party knows what's happening.] He says you worry him. I take it you did the usual routine of looking for tigers and bears to hunt? Wait, was the wolf Moro? [Pets Keloggs' head and explains that he has a wild new best friend, but Marco would try to convince him how to stay safe when looking for adventure.]
DAY 8
[He looks up at his pet in surprise, scratching the rooster's head.] Oh, I didn't know I was worrying you, Keloggs. Sorry. [He turns to Marco with a grin.] Have I told you how cool it is you can talk to birds?!
Ah, but no. I'm not hunting! I'm just... fighting off animals that're trying to eat me. [Blinks.] Moro? Uh, the wolf I met can't talk, so I'm not sure.
DAY 8
[Blushy grin. He does love his devil fruit. And hang around for several decades you pick a few things up, like talking to birds.] Thanks matey.
And ah... definitely not Moro then. Moro's like the size of my Pops. Twenty feet tall. And she talks. She's a friend of Luffy's though, and protects the forest. So why were you looking for animals to fight anyway? You should try the battledome if you're just looking to get stronger.
DAY 8
T-that wolf's that big?!! Oh wow... [And why is he hearing about this awesome fact about Whitebeard only now? Fine, nevermind, he'll just spazz about your Pops later.] Uh.... yeah, I'll try going there soon, but... nothing's better than being outdoors. 'Sides, I'm trying to find these spirit persons. Thought maybe they can help me get stronger.
DAY 8
Still, it'd be fine if Ace was gay or okama, like I said, Izou would be thrilled to have the company, but it's not his style. He's more bent towards girls, even if has some... moments. [Moments induces by Marco it should be noted. Worst brother ever.] And Luffy is... last Valentine's Day he had a girlfriend. Apparently I missed the the hilarious trauma of this, but from what I can gather his interest in anything with romance or dating is almost completely nil. He's friends with the leader of the okama though, so I guess it's possible? Don't thank me though, he hasn't given any indications of being like Izou yet. Shifts aside.
Aye, Moro's huge. [Grins at the reasoning and whistles the explanation a little better to Keloggs.] I'm not sure where to find them, actually, magic isn't really my thing, but just make sure you can handle yourself. And remember -- [Mutters so the rooster can't hear him.] Most things see chicken as dinner, eh.
DAY 8
And jsyk, all this talk about his bros getting girlfriends is making him wince. Letting go of the ten and seven year old images of them in his mind isn't easy! Still, he'll man up.] ...Okay, let me get this straight. So Ace likes girls, and I get you what you said about Luffy's interest in romance that doesn't involve adventures. [A man's romance is different, right? Right?!] So... these shifts aside, they're really not into wearing girls' clothes?
Man, that's awesome. Maybe I can meet her too one day! [Perking up at those chirping. He really likes those bird sounds you make, so listening with a smile.] I met Nala sometime ago, so I can heal some minor scratches and bruises now. And I'm training with Sona, the water one. [Grins.] Might be fun to try and get Ace wet, won't it?!
Oh, and don't worry. He's got good survival instincts. [Better than his even, and Keloggs proudly agrees.]
DAY 8
[Amused grin at Sabo's enthusiasm for the spirits. Marco hadn't really given them a second thought before, but the interest is almost infectious through Sabo.] You're going to get Ace wet? [Slightly incredulous grin through the deadpan.] You're a far braver man than I am, little matey.
All right Keloggs, if you do run into trouble you can just come find me, eh? [If nothing else that'll help keep an eye on Sabo too.]
DAY 8
[Just laughing.] That guy's always splashing me in baths. He's got it coming! [And oooh, he's interested now.] Did you try it before?
[The rooster lifts its wing into a salute and crows. The boy, however, just looks offended.] Hey now, I'm not always in trouble!
DAY 8
Hah... get Ace wet? No way. Norma did, I think, but he threw her in the ocean for it. Besides I have other means of getting to him.
[Laughs quietly.] Then if you don't get in trouble, it won't be an issue, eh?
DAY 8
Oh, can you tell me about it? I promise I won't tell!
Right! Then I'll be more-- [...Oh. So that's why you put it that way, huh.] ...You're just telling me to be careful, aren't you.
DAY 8
Actually I was thinking of getting Ace to dress up in a few girl's clothes... among other things. He sort of did something over the journals to me so it's revenge for that. It's how I'm sure he's not okama though.
[A slightly devious grin.] You're a brother of Ace's and Luffy, I doubt that word even figures into your vocabulary. I'm just saying if trouble finds you, you don't have to face it alone. Even the world's strongest come with backup.
DAY 8
Ah, so that's what that payback thing's about! Eh, you do know he's not gonna be happy with you, right? I got smacked just for asking about the time he got stuck in a dress...
Oi, oi! I'm not as reckless as those two! [He's not a D, okay? But he smiles at the rest, though it's a bit sad. There's a trouble in the past which he had to face by himself and that was the hardest thing he's ever done.] Yeah, I know. Things are always easier when you're not alone.
DAY 8
Aye, well it wouldn't be good revenge if he was too happy about it, eh. Besides, he'll get me back eventually and that's the bigger concern.
I should hope not. I don't think I could handle trying to protect all three of you if you were. Even if Luffy's crew seems to have him covered. [Lightly ruffles Sabo's hair.] Not just easier. Better too.
DAY 8
Oh, that's true! [He has half a mind now to start documenting these pranks. It'll make one damn good battle account, right?
Blushing a bit from the ruffle and smiling brightly. He's still not used to affection not from his brothers, but it's always welcome.] Thanks, Marco. I'll definitely be more careful!
DAY 8
[Also yes, document away Sabo, someone should.]
[And finally shakes off the horrible mental image of Firefist Garp and grins lightly for Sabo.] Thanks Sabo, you're a really good big brother to those two, eh?
DAY 8
[And yes, yes he will. So don't mind him asking for more details about this prank war later. (And bursting out laughing at that lovely video of bird-you rolling in flowers.)]
Heh, I try! At least I can do that much. [His brothers are grownups now, and they have their own nakama to look after them. There's not much he could do for them anymore.]
DAY 8
[Marco will never show that journal entry, however just ask Ace, Norma, or Robin, they'd be delighted to, no doubt.]
Hey, sometimes just being by their side is all it takes, eh. I can't tell you how glad I am to have Ace here. I was a lot more lost without him.
DAY 8
[Copy that! o7 Plus he'll need eye-witnesses' accounts too.]
[And Sabo'll just... stare at you with wide eyes. Are you a mind-reader? Because that is creepy, okay.]
DAY 8
[Small grin at the staring. He's not completely sure what Sabo's in awe over, but he'll hazard a guess and playfully tip Sabo's hat over his eyes the same way Marco does to Ace sometimes.] No matter what enemies you face, even the world government itself, so long as you've got brothers or nakama with you it will always seem like you can do anything.
DAY 8
I... was wondering if there's anything I could do for Ace and Luffy. They're adults now, so they can take care of themselves, and have their nakama here. I can't look after them the way I used to before. That bothered me a lot.
So when you said just being here's enough... well, it's a relief, I guess! I can't tell what this place has in store for me, but I... [Fists clenching.] I'll stay by their side as along as I can.
DAY 8
My Pops was the strongest man in the world, so the times he really needed someone to look after him were next to nil. But his dream was to have a big family. Nothing made him happier than having his family nearby. Understood?
